Dinner with Friends

Been working so hard I haven’t even thought about the pleasures of a meal prepared with love and time. Had a wonderful meal with my dear friends Patricia and Justin in Brooklyn on their terrace overlooking the Brooklyn Bridge. The meal was so carefully prepared, the radishes carved with beautiful stripes ( Justin’s time in Japan clearly still influencing him) and  the radish bottoms turned  into a lovely mini bouquet. His homemade sushi was gobbled up before I could even think to photograph it.

The antique plates, the napkins, the place mats, the terrace plants, all in oranges, corals and greens made my eyes so happy topped with the Bang Bang Chicken and rose all handled by Patricia. Batteries ran out before I could  photograph the watermelon, my first of the season and a beautiful color on the table. All this with  nice background music and mostly great company made for such a special evening.  So nice to slow down for an evening, take in the breeze and the view and share some time with old friends. What a team they make.

Hope this inspires you to do this for your friends if not for your self!
