Thank You

We hear it all the time how we are lost in our busy lives and with that we have lost some of the simple things, and one of the finest things…saying thank you properly. This past weekend I flew to Houston to help my sister settle into her new home. She had one day to move out of the old and into the new. No time to paint, organize and settle properly. I came out the weekend after the big move to help, when she had a better  handle on even how to settle in. She has an incredible support system there of friends who worked tirelessly to help unpack and conceptualize……and wonderfully show up at 5 with a chilled bottle of wine and corkscrew. I came to understand that this same group had worked on the front end to help her pack up. Wishing I had my flowers near by my Houston friend Rebekah Johnson from Bergner and Johnson, generously handed over to me a bucket of flowers and small vases. Sunday morning my sister and I drove around leaving flowers on doorsteps, ringing bells and leaving. We had so much fun doing it!

Keep gorgeous stationary near by with stamps, have something custom-made if you can, make it your look, mail some homemade cookies if that is your expertise…when you remember someone’s good deeds fondly drop an actual pretty note or trinket  in the mail. It feels so good.

The work room / bar still with boxes to  unpack.
