A brief break in wedding blogging, I had to share what my head has been spinning about again these days. Years ago when I first started in my industry a very good friend introduced me to Anouska Hempel Design. Clearly flowers often go hand in hand with interior design. An upcoming trip to London had me immediately wanting to stay at Blakes London, having been lucky enough to tour Blakes Amsterdam years ago with an interior designer friend. I wanted to have my eyes soak up every detail, be inspired and learn. Alas, location was not practical for the reasons I am traveling and it being such a short visit ( sometimes I really hate that word…practical it can really get in the way). Look below at the photos, the rich colors and fabrics, the fabrics!, the layering, the proportions, the reflections she creates and uses so brilliantly and the incredible diversity all done at an amazing standard. Have a look for your self below and take some time to go thru her site, its magnificent, www.anouskahempeldesign.com/.
To quote her site :
At Anouska Hempel, no design is conceived in isolation. The on-board table settings for a boat; a glove or clutch bag for a ball or dinner gown; an office, down to the stationery and pens. What is achieved is a complete life design. The creative team is celebrated for its multi-disciplinary scope, which embraces an exceptional array of products, from objects and accessories to lamps; from custom-made cabinets and screens to fountain pens; from glassware and cutlery to handbags and skincare products. What they all manifest is originality and exacting craftsmanship
