Embracing the Gray

We have had 5 days of gray skies in New York, while we have sun today our forecast is mixed sun and clouds for the next few days. So I thought I would give in, look for the silver lining, (another shade of gray), and be inspired by all things beautifully gray. From my dear friend Walter Dundervill, choreographer, custom designer, dancer and set designer and gardener,  who gets more beautiful with every gray hair its seems, to the fabulously fun wigs he uses in some of his shows, cashmere blankets from ABC Carpet, which are perfect for this weather, Dean Harris’s jewelry, the earrings are black lip shell with 18k gold earwires, the necklace is made of faceted labradorite beads, the gray turtleneck you always count on (shown with Dean Harris earring), some of my favorite zinc planters from Belgium, gray vases that looks wonderful with all flowers and colors, our long-haired friend Smokey, a walk across the Brooklyn Bridge in the rain and then the ultimate beauty in gray.
