ITSSS SPRINGGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A visual treat on what’s ahead for us. I love spring, who doesn’t ? There are so many magical moments of flowers, light and just feeling carefree. Being outside, not rushing from place to place to escape the weather, enjoying the sun on your face, the perfect temperatures, the breeze on your face, the flowering trees, the flowering trees (that wasn’t a mistake they deserve to be mentioned twice), the sun thru the flowering branches, the street light at night thru the flowering branches and the soft fragrance in the air. Make sure you take time to stop, look, smell this spring. Spend a day at a great garden or just take a moment on your way from one place to another to stop and look and soak in that moment even if it’s just a moment, I guarantee you will remember it. The times are so rare when flowers are in perfect bloom and the weather is just right…….notice it!

A reminder list of a few places to indulge, some formal, some not as formal. Please share your favorite places with me, I look forward to hearing your favorite spots and writing about them too

Brooklyn Botanical Gardens…….Cherry Blossom Festival first weekend in April

Battery Park Gardens, Wave Hill, The New York Botanical Gardens, Conservancy Gardens, The Cloisters. The trees along Fifth Avenue at The Frick….

A small, sweet and secret garden known to few is the quaint St. Luke’s Church in new York’s West Village.

Neighborhood Gardens thru out the city, front yards in Chelsea….. send me your photos of favorite flowers or gardens.

Some of the feeling of spring… children in the garden and  children in spring…

OK this last one is a really big kid…..but that’s spring!
