The Beauty of Sweetpeas

I can’t say enough about sweetpeas. With all due respect to the peony, lilac and the lovely delicate lily of the valley….I think Sweetpeas are my favorite flower. They are soft, curvaceous, delicate and incredibly fragrant. Some are sweet, some are spicy and all will make you weak in the knees. Right now they have hit their stride in the flower market, where I took the photo above.  A wall of sweetpeas….I was in heaven. They are imported from Italy, France and most recently Japan. The Japanese sweetpea below is shown with 3 shades of lavender in one stem but all are guaranteed to seduce you.

Below are some recent arrangements, cocktail, gift or bridal bouquets  with sweetpeas……if only I could send the fragrance in a blog too!
